setting up LEDS in Parallel  

Setting up LEDs in parallel is easy.


Here are the parts you will need:

a breadboard set up for 5 volts
a 12 volt power supply
four LEDs
one 220 ohm resistor
some red wire




This is a schematic of four LEDs in parallel with a resistor.






This is what the breadboard will look like when you are finished - following are the complete steps as really big pictures.







Step One: Take any two empty rows on your breadboard and connect one to 5 volts with a small red wire, and the other
to ground with a 220 ohm resistor. Place an led with the long leg(power) in the row connected to 5 volts and the short leg(ground) to the row connected to ground.







Step Two:
add more leds inthe same fashion









Your board should look like this. All the long legs share one power and all the short legs share one ground.
